Sexing

To see the difference between the two sexes on beadeds, are not always the easiest thing to do. There are only small visual differences between the sexes, such as the headshape, and on some animals there are also differences in body and tail shape. In general the males are more massiv in apperance than the females, and are a bit larger. Primarily the head will apear alot more massiv, and on fully adult individuals, there are a small difference on the base of the tail.

With adult animals, there will often be a difference in the weight, males tends to be up to 20% larger than the females.

The best way to sex animals will be by ultrasound, but with some individuals, this can also be difficult if it is done at the wrong time of the year, or if the vet in unexperienced.
